Between this and that. And between lively rhythms and the valley of entangling eyes. Or something like that. A wide field. And it\u2019s summer. And for the \u201cSummer Nights,\u201d which also take place regularly during this season, DANA AND ALDEN<\/strong> have put their very own jazz fantasies on pleasantly easy rails. Behind the scenes of a catchy pop\u2011soul number, it remains jazz, they say. – Onward. Because THANDII<\/strong> and REGALADO<\/strong> are waiting here. The latter being the most famous drummer in the Philippines, now giving the British duo a bit of extra drive. \u201cCoco Okayo\u201d brings the great bass, a solidly knitted get\u2011involved groove, and a little more. \u201cLove me or love me not!\u201d \u2014 A new album by NAO YOSHIOKA<\/strong>. „Self „offers plenty of sharply executed R&B, almost too flawless. But with an illustrious guest list (Devin Morrison, Braxton Cooke, Bnnyhunna, Jamila Woods, Bilal, Sam Wills, Keyon Harrold, etc.), who\u2014as usual\u2014pass the handle of the Yoshioka studio door from one to the next. Also on board: the Finnish duo MISHA<\/strong> and JUSSI HALME<\/strong>, who cleverly slowed down the tempo for their \u201cInner Universe\u201d contribution, and then provided the perfect stage for Taiwanese jazz vibraphonist CHIEN CHIEN LU<\/strong>. – ASAGAYA<\/strong> is actually David Kern. A Frenchman with various musical abilities \u2014 and the freedom to let his ideas run wild. We won\u2019t get tangled up in interpretations now, but instead give precedence to the soulful voice of HANNAH WILLIAMS<\/strong>, who delivers the excitingly staged story of the \u201cValley Of Tangled Eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zwischen diesem und jenem. Und flotten Rhythmen und dem Tal der verfangender Augen. Oder so. Ein weites Feld. Und es ist Sommer. Und f\u00fcr die in dieser Zeit ebenfalls regelm\u00e4\u00dfig stattfindenden „Summer Nights“ haben DANA AND ALDEN<\/strong> ihre ganz eigenen Jazz-Fantasien auf ganz lockere Schienen gestellt. Hinter den Kulissen einer eing\u00e4ngigen Pop-Soul Nummer bleibt’s beim Jazz, sagt man. – Weiter im Text. Denn hier warten THANDII<\/strong> und der REGALADO<\/strong>. Letzterer der bekannteste Schlagzeuger der Philippinen, der nun dem britischen Duo ein wenig die Sporen gibt. „Coco Okayo“ bringt den tollen Bass, einen solide gestrickten Mitmach-Groove und ein wenig mehr. „Love me or love me not!“ – Neues Album von NAO YOSHIOKA<\/strong>. „Self hat reichlich von auf den Punkt gespieltem R&B, fast schon zu fehlerfrei. Franzose mit diversen musikalischen F\u00e4higkeiten. Und den M\u00f6glichkeiten seinen Ideen freien Lauf zu laufen. Wir werden uns jetzt nicht in irgendwelchen Deutungen verstricken, sondern lassen der Soul-Stimme von HANNAH WILLIAMS<\/strong> den Vortritt, um die spannend inszenierte Story vom „Valley Of Tangled Eyes“ zum Besten zu geben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
