Beautiful music. Times are not great, but today\u2019s quartet is all the better for it. Which is why we\u2019ll spare ourselves (and above all you) the many words and let the magic of SEU JORGE<\/strong>\u2019s new songs unfold \u2014 his first album in more than 16 years, titled \u201cThe Other Side.\u201d<\/em>Recorded between 2009 and 2018, yet otherworldly timeless in its musical interplay of bossa and jazz, of grand orchestration and quiet nuances. Every track a blessing in itself. – MOYSES DOS SANTOS<\/strong> moves across similar terrain. \u201cSaudade\u201d<\/em>drifts on strings, built on a rather brisk beat and equally lively melodic curves. With the occasional sideways glance. Artur Verocai, Theo Croker and Lynda Dawn provide the finishing touch of warmth. – QENDRESA<\/strong> may call it \u201cRain In July,\u201d<\/em>but at least this rain falls from warm, floating electro\u2011clouds. More pleasant than expected. – And staying in London, DAYO BELLO<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cStand Still\u201d<\/em>might actually make the city pause for a few moments. Clicking beat, floating textures, jazz behind the curtain. He\u2019s now firmly on our list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sch\u00f6ne Musik. Die Zeiten sind nicht gut, unser heutiges Quartett aber umso besser. Darum ersparen wir uns (und vor allem euch) die vielen Worte, und lassen den Zauber der neuen Songs des SEU JORGE<\/strong> wirken, der nach \u00fcber 16 Jahren Pause ein Album namens „The Other Side“ zum Besten gibt. Eingespielt zwischen 2009 und 2018, aber \u00fcberirdisch zeitlos in seinem musikalischen Wechselspiel aus Bossa und Jazz – gro\u00dfem Orchester und leisen T\u00f6nen. Jeder Song eine Wohltat f\u00fcr sich. – Auf \u00e4hnlichem Terrain wandelt der MOYSES DOS SANTOS<\/strong>. „Saudade“ schwelgt in Streichern, basiert auf einem eher flotten Beat und ebensolchen Kurven der Melodie. Mit gelegentlichem Seitenblick. Artur Verocai, Theo Croker und Lynda Dawn sorgen f\u00fcr den abrundenden Wohlklang. – Bei QENDRESA<\/strong> gibt’s zwar „Rain In July“, der aber zumindest aus warm-schwebenden Elektro-Wolken f\u00e4llt. Angehmer als gedacht. – Bleiben wir in London, dass mittels „Stand Still“ vom DAYO BELLO<\/strong> tats\u00e4chlich f\u00fcr ein paar Momente stillstehen k\u00f6nnte. Klickender Beat, floatende Kl\u00e4nge, Jazz hinter den Kulissen. Der Mann steht ab jetzt auf unserer Liste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
