Anything to report? Beautiful music in difficult times. Worrying, at the very least. Retreating to one\u2019s own little patch of home as the royal road. But with a decent local supplier within walking distance. And then a few overarching songs that focus solely on melody and rhythm, refusing to be bothered by limitations. Andy Platts shows this in exemplary fashion, letting his MAMAS GUN<\/strong> circle outward. Pop and soul, perfectly wrapped in carefully arranged soundscapes. \u201cDig!\u201d<\/em> is the new album. Here and now, everywhere and tomorrow. An ideal companion. \u2014 The same goes for \u201cOutsider\u201d<\/em>, the album by TIWAYO<\/strong>, who had his retro\u2011soul songs dressed up by Adrian Quesada. A few Latin touches, a bit of rock, soul in voice and presence, and an \u201cUnchained Lovers\u201d<\/em> duet with KENDRA MORRIS to stay on everyone\u2019s lips. \u2014 And since its release in 2025, the \u201cWhimsy\u201d<\/em> album by DESTIN CONRAD<\/strong> has naturally been right there as well. The R&B man with jazz feelings. And those need to be let out from time to time. A good thing! Even if the jazz appears mostly as a welcome marginal note, it\u2019s the combination Conrad devised\u2014moderate alternative R&B sounds, always in a softly padded ambience, with seemingly random jazzy elements wandering through\u2014that makes it work. And the newly available Deluxe Edition now adds seven new songs. \u2014 SLOWE<\/strong> makes clever songs. Mostly slow\u2026 of course! The new album is about to launch; as its third preview, we now get \u201cTemporary (You\u2019ll Be Gone)\u201d<\/em>, whose rhythmic layer even features some lively percussion to lighten the mood. A click, a clack, a handful of jazz aspects (you just can\u2019t do without!), guitar and electric piano slipping by to accompany the vocals\/bass scenery for a moment. Currently right at the front of the pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gibt’s was zu melden? Sch\u00f6ne Musiken in schlechten Zeiten. Bedenklich, zumindest. R\u00fcckzug auf die heimische Scholle als K\u00f6nigsweg. Aber mit vern\u00fcnftigem Nahversorger in Laufweite. Dazu dann noch ein paar \u00fcbergeordnete Songs, die sich einzig auf Melodie und Rhythmus besinnen, ohne sich von Begrenzungen beirren zu lassen. Geradezu exemplarisch l\u00e4sst der Andy Platts seine MAMAS GUN<\/strong> ihre Kreise ziehen. Pop und Soul, perfekt einget\u00fctet inmitten sorgf\u00e4ltig arrangierter Sound-Kulissen. „Dig!“ ist das neue Album dazu. Hier und jetzt, \u00fcberall und morgen. Eine ideale Begleitung. – Gilt auch f\u00fcr das „Outsider“ Album des TIWAYO<\/strong>, der seine retro-soulistischen Songs von Adrian Quesada in Schale werfen lie\u00df. Ein paar Latin-Tupfer, ein wenig mit Rock, dazu Soul in Stimme und Auftreten, und ein „Unchained Lovers“ Duett mit KENDRA MORRIS, um in aller Munde zu bleiben. – Dort befindet sich seit seiner Ver\u00f6ffentlichung in 2025 nat\u00fcrlich auch das „Whimsy“ Album vom DESTIN CONRAD<\/strong>. Der RnB-Mann mit Jazz-Gef\u00fchlen. Und die m\u00fcssen eben dann und wann mal rausgelassen werden. Gute Sache! Auch wenn der Jazz eigentlich nur als gern genommene Randnotiz daherkommt, macht’s die vom Destin ersonnene Kombi aus moderaten RnB-Sounds der alternativen Art – stets in weich gepolstertem Ambiente, und mit scheinbar zuf\u00e4llig umherstreunenden Jazzy-Sounds. Und die jetzt verf\u00fcgbare Deluxe Edition bietet nun gleich 7 neue Songs dazu. – SLOWE<\/strong> macht schlaue Songs. Vorwiegend slow…nat\u00fcrlich! Das neue Album steht alsbald am Start, als dritten Vorboten daraus gibt’s jetzt „Temporary (You’ll Be Gone)“, auf dessen Rhythmus-Ebene gar ein paar flotte Percussions f\u00fcr aufgelockerte Stimmung sorgen. Ein Klick, ein Klack, eine Handvoll Aspekte vom Jazz (ohne geht’s eben nicht!), Gitarre und E-Piano schnurpsen mal vorbei, um die Vocals\/Bass-Szenerie tempor\u00e4r zu begleiten. Zurzeit ganz vorn dabei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
