And so, the good SAMM HENSHAW casts only a mildly enthusiastic glance past the attentive listener. Worn down, and teetering on the edge of hopeful despair, because \u2018It Could Be Worse.\u2019 Which is true, of course \u2014 things can always get worse. But with the wonderfully warm soul music Samm now offers us, mustering every last reserve, we can confidently defy the here and now. At least in a more private setting. Well\u2011tempered, always with a tempting hookline up his sleeve. Rounded off with a warming retro finish that, on closer listening, flashes with contemporary touches from all directions. A good album \u2014 and recommended for the rest of the week as well.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Montags-Platte! Entsprechend wenig begeistert schaut der gute SAMM HENSHAW am geneigten H\u00f6rer vorbei. Geschunden, und mit an Hoffnung grenzender Verzweiflung, denn &#8222;It Could Be Worse&#8220;. Das stimmt nat\u00fcrlich, schlimmer geht immer. Aber mit den rundum wohlklingenden Soul-Musiken, die uns der Samm unter Aufbietung s\u00e4mtlicher Reserven nunmehr anbietet, k\u00f6nnen wir getrost dem Hier und Jetzt trotzen. Zumindest im privateren Rahmen. Gut temperiert, stets mit einer lockenden Hookline in der Hinterhand. Dazu mit erw\u00e4rmendem Retro-Finish, dem bei genauerem Hinh\u00f6ren die Aktualit\u00e4t aus vielerlei Richtungen entgegenblinkt.
