Dazu<!--more--> <strong>Marshall Jefferson<\/strong>, der die Disco-Beatz in seiner Chicago-House Variante vermischt. &#8222;Music Saved my Life&#8220; ist allerbester Stoff f\u00fcr die besten Tanzb\u00f6den der Stadt. So viel ist klar.<br \/>\n<strong>Full Flava<\/strong>. Wieder einmal gemeinsam mit der stets gern geh\u00f6rten <strong>Kelli Sae<\/strong>. Und nat\u00fcrlich in frisch re-modelter Fassung, f\u00fcr die Jason Kriveloff aka <strong>JKRiv<\/strong> zur Verf\u00fcgung stand. Das &#8222;Music Is My Way Of Life&#8220; stammt aus dem Repertoire der Patti Labelle, ef\u00fcllt ohne Widerrede alle Tanz-Erfordernisse und ist selbstverst\u00e4ndlich auch Teil des &#8222;Refreshed&#8220; Albums, dass uns in 20 St\u00fccken die Full Flava Hits noch einmal hochdosiert zu Ohren bringt.<br \/>\n<strong>Scrimshire<\/strong>. Mit <strong>Cleveland Watkiss<\/strong>. Ernste Sache. Beide teilen die Geschichte in \u201cpre-George Floyd and post George Floyd&#8220; und sprechen dar\u00fcber. 8-Minuten. Der Beat l\u00e4\u00dft sich nicht beirren, die Gitarre ist akustisch, drumherum gibt&#8217;s Elektronik und spezielle Arrangements f\u00fcr Streicher. Soul der eigenen Art, mit Jazz-Dance und Aussage. Das 6. Scrimshire Album gibt&#8217;s unter dem Titel &#8222;Nothing Feels Like Everything&#8220; ab Oktober.<br \/>\n<strong>Keith Slattery<\/strong>. Mit Vinnie Calauita (Drums), Luis Conte (Percussion), Lenny Castro (Percussion), Nathan East (Bass), Mike DeMicco (Guitar), Everette Harp (Saxophone), Eric Valentine (Drums), Darryl Williams (Bass) und Rick Braun (Trumpet). Eine Best-Besetzung also, wenn es gilt ein gutes Dutzend formidabler Songs aufzunehmen, deren Klang-Welt sich zwischen Jazz mit Jazz und Jazz mit Soul abspielen soll. Ganz entspannt, ganz abgerundet, ganz smooth. Mit dem Anspruch die Fallstricke des Genre mit gr\u00f6\u00dftm\u00f6glicher Gelassenheit zu umgehen. Der Keith spielt am gro\u00dfen Piano perlende Ton-Folgen, stets elegant und gekonnt. Seine Band unterst\u00fctzt effektiv, aber zur\u00fcckhaltend &#8211; dazu greifen seine G\u00e4ste an Saxofon oder Trompete die Solo-B\u00e4lle des Pianisten auf, \u00fcbertragen die Stimmung in eigene Tonfolgen und setzen wirkungsvolle Akzente.
